KRYOSTASIS LLC SHIPPING POLICY

Effective Date: July 17, 2026

Kryostasis LLC ("Kryostasis") provides transparent and secure shipping for our recovery systems. This Shipping Policy outlines the timelines, methods, and customer responsibilities associated with orders placed on www.kryostasis.com.

1. SHIPPING OVERVIEW & TIMELINES

Service Name Shipping Cost Handling Time Transit Time Total Delivery Time
Standard Freight & Parcel FREE (Within Contiguous U.S.) 1 to 3 Business Days 5 to 8 Business Days 6 to 11 Business Days (Most orders arrive within 6–8 business days)
  • Business Days: Monday through Friday, excluding national and federal holidays.
  • Product Page Notes: If a specific heavy unit requires additional manufacturing or customized testing time, a note on that specific product page will be displayed and will override the general timelines listed above.

All delivery timelines are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Actual delivery times may vary due to carrier availability, weather conditions, regional accessibility, holidays, or other circumstances beyond Kryostasis' reasonable control.

2. SHIPPING DESTINATIONS & REGIONAL RESTRICTIONS

  • Contiguous United States: We provide standard free shipping across the 48 contiguous United States and Washington, D.C.
  • Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. Territories: Free standard shipping strictly excludes Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and other U.S. territories. Orders from these regions cannot be completed automatically at checkout. Customers in these non-continental zones must contact our sales team directly at sales@kryostasis.com or +1 (213) 715-5777 to obtain a custom freight invoice based on real-time carrier rates.
  • P.O. Boxes & APO/FPO: Due to the large size and heavy weight of our recovery systems, we strictly cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes, military addresses, or any location inaccessible by standard commercial freight vehicles.

3. DELIVERY METHODS: LTL FREIGHT & PARCEL

A. Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) Freight Delivery

Most large Kryostasis products (including tubs and heavy chiller units) are shipped via heavy freight carriers using LTL transit.

  • Delivery Appointment: Once your shipment arrives at the local destination terminal, the freight carrier will contact you directly via the phone number provided at checkout to schedule a specific delivery window.
  • Missed Appointments: If you miss your scheduled delivery appointment, the carrier will apply redelivery and storage fees. The customer assumes responsibility for any rescheduled delivery fees assessed by the carrier.

B. Standard Parcel Shipping

Smaller accessories, water maintenance kits, and single replacement parts are shipped via standard parcel networks (UPS, FedEx, or USPS). Tracking links are sent via email immediately upon shipment.

4. CURBSIDE DELIVERY & SITE ACCESS

A. Curbside Delivery Definition

All standard LTL freight deliveries are strictly Curbside Delivery. This means the freight driver will unload the crated shipment via a truck liftgate as close to your property’s curb or driveway entrance as safely accessible by a commercial cargo vehicle.

Important Note: Drivers are not responsible for moving shipments inside your home, garage, backyard, or up steep driveways, stairs, or unpaved paths. Moving the product from the curb to its final installation location is the sole responsibility of the customer.

B. Delivery Site Access

The customer is entirely responsible for ensuring that the delivery location is fully accessible to a large commercial freight truck. If local road restrictions, low-hanging trees, or gates prevent the truck from reaching your curb, alternative delivery or terminal pickup arrangements must be coordinated at the customer’s expense.

5. SHIPMENT COMPLETION & RISK TRANSFER

Delivery is deemed completed once the shipment is unloaded at the agreed curbside delivery location and acknowledged by the customer or validated via official carrier delivery confirmation. Upon completion of delivery, the title and risk of loss or damage to the products transfer to the customer.

6. MANDATORY FREIGHT INSPECTION & SHIPPING DAMAGE

Because our systems are high-value engineered units, you must strictly inspect the shipment before accepting it. If shipping damage is identified, Kryostasis will work with the customer and the carrier to determine the appropriate resolution.

A. Inspection Before Signing the Bill of Lading (BOL)

Before signing the driver’s delivery receipt or Bill of Lading (BOL):

  1. Visually examine the outer wooden crate, pallet, and protective wrap for any punctures, cracks, or severe impacts.
  2. Verify that the number of items delivered matches the shipping manifest.
  3. If visible damage is found: You must write a detailed description of the damage directly on the driver’s Bill of Lading (BOL) before signing. Take clear high-resolution photographs immediately.

B. Concealed Damage Reporting (48-Hour Window)

If the outer packaging appeared intact but you discover internal cosmetic or mechanical damage upon unboxing, you must report the issue to Kryostasis within 48 hours of delivery.

  • Requirements: Submit a ticket through our live chat widget or email support@kryostasis.com with your order number, a copy of the signed BOL, and clear photos/videos of the concealed damage.
  • Consequences of Delay: Signing the BOL without noting visible damage or failing to report concealed damage within 48 hours may limit Kryostasis' ability to pursue freight claims with the carrier and may affect the available resolution options.

7. SHIPPING DELAYS & COMMUNICATION PROTOCOL

At Kryostasis, we proactively monitor all freight manifests. In the rare event of carrier delays, logistics bottlenecks, or route disruptions, our customer care operations team will promptly initiate the following communication sequence:

  1. Primary Contact (Voice Call): We will first attempt to contact you directly via the phone number provided during checkout to explain the delay and coordinate real-time tracking updates.
  2. Secondary Contact (Email Follow-up): If you are unreachable via phone, a detailed update containing the updated shipment status and revised delivery estimates will be sent to your registered email address.

8. REFUSED SHIPMENTS & STORAGE FEES

If a customer refuses a delivery appointment or rejects an undamaged, correct shipment from the carrier, the customer may be responsible for applicable logistics costs. These costs include original freight charges, return freight costs back to our fulfillment center, and carrier storage fees. If the refused shipment is returned to our facility, the order will be processed as a standard return and will be subject to a 25% restocking fee as outlined in our Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy.

9. ADDRESS ACCURACY

Please verify your delivery address, email, and phone number carefully during checkout. Kryostasis is not responsible for deliveries made to incorrectly entered addresses or for delays caused by unreachable contact information. If a freight shipment is rerouted or returned to our warehouse due to an address error, the customer will be billed for all carrier-assessed redirection or reshipment fees.
